Why did you get involved in charitable work?
Three reasons: A career change in 1984 brought me into the role of working with nonprofit organizations; my spouse is an executive director of a school foundation; and my desire to give something back to this wonderful sector.
How does your charitable work affect you personally?
First, I feel like my daily efforts are helping others and our world. Second, it is richly rewarding on many personal levels. Third, it has had a very positive affect on my family and friends.
How can charitable giving be improved?
By enabling better communication between constituents and charities. The higher the flow of information, the better the involvement will be.
What can nonprofits do to improve their fundraising or operations?
Simple: Take advantage of the latest technology. It is so easy now to do more with less.
