Keep North Carolina Beautiful develops partnerships to engage and empower individuals and organizations to take greater responsibility to keep North Carolina beautiful. Our focus areas are litter prevention, waste reduction and recycling and beautification/community greening. With a network of 32 certified affiliates, we make a huge impact on the cleanliness of counties all across the state.
Why did you get involved in charitable work?
I am involved in charitable work due to my love of connecting with people for the greater good. I am by nature a collaborator and someone who is constantly promoting my passion for improving the cleanliness of our environments to others in a positive and productive way.
How does your charitable work affect you personally?
My charitable work affects me personally as it motivates me to excel and focus my creative energy on ways to enhance the mission of Keep NC Beautiful. I am empowered by watching my own children take pride in keeping their environment clean and teaching others to embrace the reduce, reuse and recycle way of life.
