* Children’s Theatre of Charlotte announced partnership with US Airways for support of theater group through volunteer work, monetary assistance and travel vouchers.

* In response to fires and floods from severe thunderstorms in Charlotte Monday, July 24, Greater Carolinas chapter of American Red Cross fielded seven disaster assistance calls, set up shelter to house displaced residents.
