Tiger tees up - Online auction nets $204,000

Four players have bid $51,000 each online to play golf with Tiger Woods at his home course in Florida – raising a total $204,000 for his foundation, The Associated Press reports.

Their $204,000 total bid – which ended two weeks of bidding from 44 participants -- was the largest bid ever on UltimateBid.com, a site which auctions off time with celebrities among other things.

Woods will also be among several participants in a rooftop hole-in-one charity benefit in  Germany.  Contestants will shoot from a tee box on the roof of a 100-foot building in Hamburg, and the green will be on another rooftop 135 yards away.

A hole-in-one is worth $25,000, with a prize of $5,000 for the ball that falls closest to the pin.  Proceeds will benefit “Net Young Future,” which offers Internet training to disadvantaged youth, AP says.
