* Ford Foundation selected 401 new International Fellows based on academic achievement, leadership skills, commitment to development of communities, countries.

* Global Community Service Foundation met $23,000 single-event goal, benefiting Blind & Deaf Association of Dong Ha Town, Vietnam, Dec. 4.

* Morgan Christen, Alaska Superior Court Judge, and Doug Eby, physician, named to Rasmuson Foundation board, Anchorage.

* Impact Community Capital, insurance consortium, committed $10 million to Low Income Investment Fund to expand, improve child-care, preschool facilities in California.
