Forsyth funder awards $356,400

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - In its latest funding cycle, the Winston-Salem Foundation awarded 13 grants totaling $356,400 to benefit the citizens of Forsyth County.

The largest single grant was awarded to the Winston-Salem Community Development Support Collaborative for a funding pool that helps new and mature community-development corporations cover their operating costs and provide technical assistance.

The Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Forsyth County received $52,000 to enlarge its foreclosure-prevention program.

Other grants were provided to support local nonprofit working in the areas of arts and culture, health, human services, education and the public interest.
