Homeless program gets $25,000 challenge

RALEIGH, N.C. - A Wake County organization that serves homeless families in Wake County has received a $25,000 challenge grant from the Stewards Fund of Raleigh.

If the Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network can raise the entire $25,000 from new donors by June 30, the Stewards Fund will match the contributions dollar for dollar.

Wake Interfaith uses a network of more than 2,200 volunteers from over 50 congregations, businesses and civic groups to provide housing for families that find themselves temporarily homeless.

Together, the network provides shelter, meals, case management and education services to families in need.

Gifts of cash and securities are eligible for the matching funds.  To donate, call 919.832.6024.
