Janirve Foundation gives $1 million

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The Janirve Foundation has donated $1 million to establish an endowment supporting capital needs for the Reuter Center at the University of North Carolina at Asheville and the operations budget for the N.C. Center for Creative Retirement.

The donation builds on a $1.75 million gift the Janirve Foundation made in 2003 when the Reuter Center opened as home to the Center for Creative Retirement.

The 20,000-square-foot Reuter Center is named for Irving J. Reuter, the late industrialist who established the Janirve Foundation.
