NCGives names board members

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NCGives, a Raleigh-based initiative focused on broadening philanthropy, has appointed four new members to its advisory board.

The new members, each of whom will serve a two-year term effective at the beginning of 2008, are:

Denis Carter, an economics professor who has worked with the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington since 1978.

Jay Chaudhuri, special counsel to N.C. Attorney General Roy Cooper.

Mercedes Rodriguez, a community economic development practitioner.

Edgar Villanueva, a program officer in the Health Care Division of the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust.

NCGives is an initiative that seeks to connect people and groups involved with philanthropy in North Carolina by sharing lessons and tools.
