Peace offers class on hiring

RALEIGH, N.C. - As part of the school's new adult-education offerings, Peace College in Raleigh will hold a two-day course called "Hiring for Emotional Intelligence."

The course, to be led by two Peace College professors, Heather Lee and Korrel Kanoy, will be held Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21.

Lee is an associate professor of human resources; Kanoy is a professor of psychology.

Class participants will learn about the theory of emotional intelligence and develop tools for determining which candidates are the best fit for an organization.

Attendees may bring with them the description of a job they hope to fill and can design tools to help them fill that particular opening.

The fee for the class is $700; to register, visit www.peace.edu or call 919.508.2016.
