Philanthropy forecast set for RTP

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. - Foundation executives, nonprofit leaders, corporate executives and government representatives will gather at a day-long seminar Jan. 18 to discuss the outlook for philanthropy in North Carolina.

Hosted by the Triangle Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and sponsored by the North Carolina Community Foundation, the 2011 Philanthropy Forecast will be held at the Sheraton Imperial in Research Triangle Park from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Panel discussions will focus on the outlook for federal and state funding, corporate funding, entrepreneurial philanthropy and collective giving, with a luncheon address by Lillie Sanders, the 2007 recipient of the Nancy Susan Reynolds Award for personal service.

The cost for the event, which includes continental breakfast, lunch and materials, is $49 for members and $69 for non-members. Details and registration are available online.
