Raleigh City Museum opens media exhibit

RALEIGH, N.C. - The evolution of the media in North Carolina's capital is the focus of a new exhibit the Raleigh City Museum unveiled Sept. 5.

"The Revolution of Media: The history of newspaper, radio and television in Raleigh," will be on display in the downtown museum's A.J. Fletcher Foundation Gallery for 18 months.

In conjunction with the exhibit, the museum will hold a series of public programs, the first of which will be a guided tour of the exhibit on Sept. 13 at 2 p.m.

Title sponsors for the exhibit are Capitol Broadcasting Company, Curtis Media Group, The News & Observer, and Julia and Frank Daniels Jr.

The museum is located at 220 Fayetteville Street in the historic Briggs Building.
