Rex Endowment funds capacity-building

RALEIGH, N.C. - The John Rex Endowment is accepting proposals for its new $140,000 grantmaking program to help strengthen and sustain local nonprofits.

Nonprofits in Wake County can request up to $5,000 for organizational assessments, and up to $35,000 for capacity-building activities.

Applications, guidelines and eligibility criteria are available online.

In addition to funding traditional organizational-development efforts, the Raleigh-based endowment will fund nonprofits' effort to collaborate or restructure.

Letters of intent to apply for capacity-building funding are due no later than noon on June 19, with full applications due by noon on August 28; organizational-assessment requests also are due by noon on August 28.
