Workshop planned for Charlotte nonprofits

A free workshop designed to help local nonprofits weather the tough economy will be held June 23 in Charlotte.

Hosted by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation, the workshop will be held at the Harris Conference Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The workshop will feature Bill Bennington, a former vice president for training at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.

Topics will include organizational assessment, communications, developing response strategies, overcoming negativity, where and when to cut, where to look for savings, and contingency planning.

The deadline for registration is June 18, and attendance will be limited.
