Dec. 14: NCCJ, United Way, Conservation Trust, and more

Sponsorships and donations from NCCJ Brotherhood/Sisterhood Citation Award Dinner in November total $288,100, highest ever achieved in 44-year history of the event, representing over 50 percent of organization's budgeted income.
Lisa Cade, vice-president of federal programs group, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, named chair, Women's Leadership Council, United Way of the Greater Triangle; Sandra Birkhead, director of strategy and logistics, GlaxoSmithKline, named vice-chair.
Melanie Allen, former program manager, Keep Kansas City Beautiful, named coordinator, Conservation and Diversity Project, Conservation Trust for North Carolina, Raleigh.
