Bank of America aims to aggressively expand Merrill Lynch's business of managing investments for pension funds, foundations and endowments, Reuters reported Feb. 22 (see Bank of America story).

A panel was told that Australia's top billionaires do not rate as serious philanthropists but that 20 wealthy individuals combined gave $40 million to a Sydney medical research institute, with one person donating $25 million, The Sidney Morning Herald reported Feb. 24 (see Australia giving story).
