Harvard Law seeds grads' nonprofit careers

Harvard Law School is creating a Public Service Venture Fund that will award $1 million every year in seed money for start-up nonprofit ventures and salary support to students who hope to pursue postgraduate work at nonprofits or government agencies in the U.S. and abroad, the Harvard Gazette reported Feb. 10 (see Harvard nonprofit story).

‘Guerrilla' giving growing

Through the Secret Society for Creative Philanthropy, a growing number of "guerrilla" givers, mostly writers, artists and media people,­ each give $100 to another round of friends and ask them to give it away, Forbes reported Feb. 9 (see guerrilla philanthropy story).
