Microsoft co-founder giving over half his fortune to charity

Barnes & Noble founder investing in rebuilding New Orleans
Leonard Riggio, the founder and chairman of Barnes & Noble, and his wife Louise, who committed $20 million to helping to rebuild New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, are set in August to build their 50th home for New Orleans families who lost their homes after the hurricane, The Wall Street Journal reported July 16 (see New Orleans charity story).
