Software provider posts record revenue

Advanced Solutions International, a web-based software provider that serves member-based and donor-based nonprofits, recorded record revenue in 2008, the company says.

The strong performance was due in part to a 22 percent jump in revenue from new customer software licenses.

Last year the company also launched new product features, including iMIS Friendraising, a peer-to-peer fundraising tool, and Social Networking for iMIS, an online community platform that includes blogs, shared libraries, groups and listservs.

And the company's purchase of Fisk Brett, a U.K.-based fundraising software group, helped bring Advanced Solutions' total customer count to almost 3,000 and its employee headcount to almost 200.

"Despite the economic downturn, we had a strong year in 2008, which we attribute to our commitment to ‘keep our customers for life,'" Bob Alves, chairman and CEO of the company, says in a statement.

Advanced Solutions International is based in Alexandria, Va., and was founded in 1991.
