The children of Holiday Inn founder, Kemmons Wilson, and their company, Orange Lake Resorts, pledged $500,000 to the capital expansion and improvement campaign of Give Kids The World, a Florida nonprofit resort for children with life-threatening illnesses.
Michelin North America renewed its corporate partnership with the Yellowstone Park Foundation through 2016. Michelin provides tires for the park's fleet of vehicles, a gift equivalent to $250,000 to $300,000 annually.
Lincoln's Legacy Awards will give $50,000 to three nonprofits that exemplify President Abraham Lincoln's legacy and increase high school graduation rates and college preparedness. Applications can be submitted online through Sept. 13.

Nominations are being taken for the Voluntary Sector Report Awards, given by the CPA-Queen's Centre for Governance. The awards recognize the best annual reports from nonprofits that either are headquartered in Ontario or have a significant presence in the province. Winners in five categories receive $5,000. Nominations can be submitted online through Sept. 13.

The Pencils of Promise campaign is raising funds to provide students in developing regions with school supplies. Through Sept. 30, Chegg, an online provider of scholastic resources, will donate $10 for every back-to-school photo or video shared with #GiveBackToSchool on Facebook, Instagram, Vine and Twitter, up to 7,500 shares.
More than 400 Macy's associates volunteered for Macy's 8th Annual Give Back Day at the Carter Burden Center for the Aging Covello Center in East Harlem. Through Macy's Employee Giving Campaign, the largest campaign of this type run by United Way of New York City, Macy's employees gave more than $1 million.
The inaugural David Ortiz Children's Fund Gala will benefit the David Ortiz Children's Fund, which provides critical medical care to children in New England and the Dominican Republic; MassGeneral Hospital for Children; and World Pediatric Project. The gala will take place Sept. 16 at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston. Tickets are available online.
