Aug. 9: Armstrong McGuire, YWCA, Church World Service, and more

Priscilla Bratcher, director of development, Carolina Performing Arts, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, retiring Sept. 30; will join Armstrong McGuire Philanthropic Advisory Group, Raleigh, Jan. 1, 2013, as senior advisor.


YWCA Central Carolinas, Charlotte, received Trailblazer award from Charlotte Housing Authority Scholarship Fund Alumni Association.


Church World Service, Greensboro, has served over 400 refugees arriving in Greensboro through U.S. Refugee Resettlement Program, and is launching-with capacity-building grant from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services -- a naturalization and citizenship program to provide classes and legal services to help local immigrants become U.S. citizens.


Tim Spence, principal, BBH Design, Raleigh, named to board of directors, Rebuilding Together of the Triangle.
