June 8: NPower, JFK Award, IRS panel, and more

NPower Charlotte Region partnering with IBM on June 15 to host Tech Day of Service for nonprofits in Charlotte to pair roughly 200 individuals from nonprofits with IBM employees on variety of information-technology needs.
Elizabeth Redenbaugh, former president, Junior League of Wilmington, received The John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award, recognizing her work as school board member in New Hanover County during divisive and protracted community debate on school redistricting.
Marty Martin, Marty Martin Law Firm, Raleigh, named to Advisory Committee on Tax Exempt and Government Entities, Internal Revenue Service.
Phyllis Hemrick Dunning, Winston-Salem, received 2011 Giannini Society Award, University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
