Shodor, Durham, received 2011 Alfred P. Sloan Ward for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility, Families and Work Institute, New York City.
New Voices, Raleigh, focus of "Certain Proof: A Question of Worth," documentary film written, directed and produced by Ray and Susan Ellis, Footpath Pictures, Raleigh.
Michael Foster, development director, Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, named administrator and executive director, Workshop of Davidson, Lexington.
Artists in the Schools Program, United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County, will benefit from dinners hosted Nov. 3-5 at area homes at which guests visit with artists.
