  • Andrea Bazán, president of the Triangle Community Foundation and chair of National Council of La Raza, named to Department of Homeland Security's Southwest Border Taskforce.
  • Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Charlotte Alumni Chapter, awarded total of $18,575 to 18 local nonprofits, and 23 college scholarships totaling $30,402.

  • Robin Hudson, North Carolina Supreme Court justice, elected board president, Women's Forum of North Carolina, Raleigh; Paula A. Wolf elected VP and president elect.
