Ending funding relationships

Grantmakers should have an exit strategy from the start of every funding relationship, says a new GrantCraft guide.

A good one can benefit all players, strengthening grantees' capacity and funding base, while increasing the value of the grantmaker's investment.

GrantCraft staffers Anne Mackinnon and Jan Jaffe compiled interviews from nearly 30 major institutions to provide case studies, transition grant ideas, lessons from spend-down foundations and advice from grantseekers.
