Fundraising in small towns

Though small-town America has charm to spare, the lack of resources makes it an intimidating place to launch a fundraising campaign.

In her article published on the Appalachian Regional Commission website, Sabrina Jones, an education and health-care specialist and one of 600 residents of St. John, Wash., gives guidance on successful fundraising in small towns, from forming committees to organizing auctions.
