Arts and Culture Industry Impact NC Economy

The nonprofit arts and culture industry contributes more than $1.24 billion dollars to the North Carolina economy according to a new report, Arts & Economic Prosperity IV: The Economic Impact of Nonprofit Arts and Culture Organizations and Their Audiences in North Carolina.  The study was conducted by the national organization, Americans for the Arts.  This is the first time the North Carolina Department of Culture Resources has participated in the Arts & Economic Prosperity Study.  The N.C. Arts Council collected the data from nonprofit and community groups.
